So when it opened, I offered to try and document as much as time would allow of the first year’s work of the new Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre
Well, I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked, but I got more done than I thought, if that makes sense. But really nice to find that the upper gallery is going to be filled with a range of pictures from Brian Kennedy to Cara Dillon to plays and kids activities, as well as a best-of of this year’s 100faces/100minutes project.
Do take the time to pop along if you’re in the area – there’s loads of other people’s work too, showing the breadth of activities that have happened in the centre over the past year. If you can’t get along, you can see some of the snaps here on this site.
Can’t believe a year has passed. Also, can’t believe how few times I bother to get my own stuff framed…it’s so good to actually see something you’ve produced outside of a screen, framed and on a wall. Thanks, Centre folks!
The Arts Centre’s “Birthday Notes” exhibition runs from 6 October to 29 October and admission is free.
