I’m a little late in writing this, as the usual workload meant I had to spread the editing of around 800 photos over a couple of nights.

Actually, there’s not much to write about Stendhal that hasn’t already been written, if you take a glance at their Facebook page.

Seems everyone has had a great time – the weather was beyond what anyone could have hoped for, the acts and performers were diverse and entertaining, and the venue was beautiful.  I met friends, new and old, and snapped the day away until I had a permanent squint in one eye.  I got to meet some Tweeps too, which always a nice bonus.

I’ve been to concerts a-plenty, but never to yer actual festival – open air, no roof, not packed-in like some battery-hen fan in the golden circle at Croke Park. And while I didn’t do the whole camping thing this time round – yes, I like a solid roof over my head – I’d be game to do it the next time, come rain or shine.

I hope anyone reading this had as enjoyable an experience as I had, and that you’ll make the trip again next year.  Thanks to everyone who stood in front of the lens, either knowingly or unknowingly.  And thanks to all those people who organised the day in such a lovely environment.  If you’re from Limavady, or the towns around it, and you just ignored the opportunity to go, it was your loss.  I’m sure they’ll understand and welcome you with open arms in 2012.

PS If anyone knows the girl in the sunbeams below, tell her to drop me a line – we think she should have a copy of this.
